Super Service ionizing bar for heat, chemicals and heavy contamination
The Simco-ION 1/2″ SS is a compact 4 kV AC ionizing bar for demanding industrial environments involving high temperatures, chemicals or heavy contamination.
Its internal PTFE construction and optional special cable make it suitable for temperatures up to 150 °C. Typical applications include sealing sections on bag-making machines and other processes where conventional ionizing bars cannot withstand the temperature or chemical exposure.
Maximum ionization at short range
The emitters are directly coupled to the high voltage, providing high ionizing current and effective neutralization at working distances up to 30 mm.
Direct coupling also means that the emitters are not touch-safe. Contact can cause an unpleasant electrical shock. The bar must therefore be installed where operators and service personnel cannot accidentally touch the emitters.
The 1/2″ SS requires an external A2A4S or MPM high-voltage power unit. If heat and chemical resistance are not required and touch safety is a priority, MEB or MEJ should be assessed instead.
