Flexo printing sleeves play a crucial role in the flexographic printing process. They are designed to hold printing plates, with the printing clichés attached to the sleeve, which is then raised on air mandrels using compressed air.
The adoption of flexo printing sleeves was initiated to address the challenges associated with mounting printing plates directly onto cylinders. This method made plate replacement difficult and necessitated multiple cylinders for different tasks, leading to higher costs and storage issues.
