Vortex A/C units from Vortec are compact and reliable cabinet air conditioners for controlling temperatures inside electrical and electronic enclosures. They use filtered compressed air and vortex technology to remove excess heat without a compressor, refrigerant or complex electrical installation.
Excessive enclosure temperatures can shorten component life and cause faults in PLCs, variable frequency drives, servo controls and other sensitive electronics. Vortex A/C provides stable enclosure cooling while maintaining slight positive pressure to help prevent dust and warm or humid ambient air from entering the cabinet.
The integrated mechanical thermostat activates cooling only when the enclosure temperature exceeds the set level. This reduces compressed-air consumption compared with continuous operation. The unit can be installed on the top, side or front of an enclosure without refrigerant lines or conventional HVAC infrastructure.
The Vortex A/C range is available with cooling capacities of 264, 440 and 733 W and with NEMA 12 or NEMA 4/4X ratings. Select NEMA 12 for suitable indoor industrial environments and NEMA 4/4X when a higher enclosure rating is required. Always verify the requirements of the specific cabinet and installation environment.
Typical applications include control panels, automation systems, PLC installations, variable frequency drives and other electronics where overheating can cause unstable operation or unplanned downtime.
