Vortec Air Nozzles are compressed air nozzles designed for efficient blow off, cooling and drying in industrial processes. Each compressed air nozzle uses amplification technology to entrain surrounding air, producing an airflow volume up to 25 times the compressed air input. The range is suitable for industrial blow off applications where targeted airflow, reduced air consumption and lower noise are important.
Open copper tubes, drilled pipes and other basic compressed air outlets can consume unnecessary amounts of compressed air and create excessive noise. Engineered Vortec Air Nozzles use air amplification to entrain and accelerate surrounding air, producing a total airflow volume of up to 25 times the supplied compressed air volume.
According to Vortec, the nozzles can reduce operating costs related to compressed air consumption by up to 80% and noise levels by up to 60% compared with non-amplifying nozzles. Actual savings depend on the installation, operating pressure and the solution being replaced.
A correctly selected air nozzle concentrates the airflow and directs it precisely towards the required area. This can provide more effective blow-off, shorter processing time and lower compressed air consumption than an open pipe.
The flexible models can be bent and positioned to suit the application and hold their position under full line pressure. This makes them suitable when the target area changes or when airflow must be directed into difficult-to-reach locations.
Vortec Air Nozzles are available with different thrust levels, air consumption and air-stream sizes. Northern Grafics offers flexible BSP models with thrust ratings of 170, 255 or 794 g. All three models are supplied in packs of five nozzles.
