Chill Rollers: Temperature Control Solutions

Chill rollers are crucial for maintaining the temperature of materials during the production process. They efficiently remove heat from the material by circulating cooling agents such as water, thermal oils, or steam through the roller’s internal chambers. Precise temperature control is essential for complex processes, and chill rollers provide uniform and consistent temperatures.

Customized for Your Requirements

Chill rollers are customized to client specifications, ranging from small to large core diameters and body lengths. The cooling capacity requirements will influence the roller design. The surface can have a mirror-like finish with a tolerance and RA value up to 0.05. We offer configurations with inlets/outlets on the same side or with cooling water inlets/outlets on opposite sides.

Widely Used Across Industries:

Extrusion: Chill rollers are used in extrusion processes to cool down the hot extruded material to a stable temperature, aiding in maintaining dimensional stability and enhancing product quality.

Lamination: In lamination processes, rollers regulate the temperature of the laminating material, preventing thermal stress that could lead to defects in the final product.

Flexography: Chill rollers cool down the printed material after the printing process, helping to set the ink on the material and improve print quality.

Coating: Used in coating processes to control the temperature of the coated material, ensuring uniformity of the coating and preventing defects in the final product.

Plastics: In the plastics industry, rollers are used to cool down hot plastic material after molding, improving dimensional stability and mechanical properties of the product.

Materials used for construction often include steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, featuring a flow-through design and a spiral pattern. The surface may be hard chrome plated, polished, ceramic coated, or coated with Teflon/rubber.
