Typhoon P-SH-N-EX for cleaning applications with EX requirements

Typhoon P-SH-N-EX combines a blower-driven air knife with a P-SH-N-EX ionising bar. It neutralises static charge and helps remove loose particles from the surface.

The combination is relevant when the cleaning task requires a blower-driven solution and the installation must also be assessed for use in a hazardous area.

Selection based on the area and process

Suitability must be assessed against the area classification, substances present, temperature and installation conditions. Approval of the ionising bar does not mean that any blower or every other component can be placed in the same area.

Working width, distance and airflow are adapted to the component shape and required cleaning. For a compressed-air solution using 24 V, consider the Performax IQ Easy EX ionising air knife.

Power supply and operation

P-SH-N-EX has an integrated high-voltage power supply. The described 230 V AC version must be installed according to its manual and rating plate; the blower supply is specified separately.

Air pressure monitoring is used to monitor the air supply. Filters, hoses and the bar require maintenance according to the selected system’s documentation.
