Performax IQ Easy ionising air knife for machines and robots

The Performax IQ Easy ionising air knife combines ionisation with compressed air for static neutralisation and loose-particle removal. It is relevant for automatic component cleaning where static electricity causes dust or chips to cling to the surface.

Cleaning from moving machine components

The combination can be mounted on moving machine components, such as a robot arm, when cleaning needs to follow the shape of the part. Its 24 V DC supply allows a low-voltage cable to run to the ionising bar.

For robot mounting, weight, hoses, cables and the movement envelope must be considered. The air knife width is selected to suit the surface being treated.

Control and maintenance

The bar can form part of a compatible IQ Easy system when ionisation monitoring is required. This does not replace checks of airflow and cleaning results.

Clean, dry, oil-free compressed air and regular cleaning of emitters and the air slot support stable operation. Distance and angle are adapted to the task; a maximum neutralisation range does not guarantee cleaning at the same distance.
