MEB ionising air knife for automatic blow-off cleaning

The Simco-ION MEB ionising air knife combines an MEB ionising bar with a compressed-air knife. Ionisation reduces electrostatic attraction while the airflow removes loose particles from the surface.

The combination can be used when plastic chips or dust remain after ordinary blow-off cleaning. Its position is chosen according to where contamination causes problems in the process.

When should you choose MEB?

MEB is relevant when an AC solution with an external high-voltage power unit is required. When extending an existing installation, the power unit type, capacity and connections must be checked.

For new installations requiring 24 V DC and monitoring, also consider the EasION IQ ionising air knife or Performax IQ Easy ionising air knife.

Installation and operation

The MEB bar operates with 7 kV AC from a compatible external power unit. The air knife requires clean, dry, oil-free compressed air.

Working width, distance and airflow direction are adapted to the component. Released particles must also be directed away. Keep the ionising bar and air slot clean to maintain performance.
