Typhoon EP-SH-N for blower-driven surface cleaning

Typhoon EP-SH-N combines an air knife with an EP-SH-N ionising bar. A separate blower supplies the airflow, carrying ions towards the surface and blowing loose particles away.

The solution is relevant for cleaning larger plastic components and contoured surfaces, for example before painting. It can also be considered when production requires continuous blow-off cleaning.

When should you choose Typhoon?

Typhoon provides an alternative to a compressed-air Performax IQ Easy ionising air knife. The choice depends on airflow requirements, operating hours, installation space and existing supplies.

The blower, air knife and hoses are sized as one system. Air distribution and positioning must suit the component geometry so the relevant surfaces receive treatment.

Power supply and monitoring

EP-SH-N uses an external 7 kV AC supply. Simco’s described Typhoon system with EP-SH-N uses the A2A7M power unit, which also provides power for the air pressure sensor.

Pressure monitoring helps identify an insufficient air supply. Filters, air passages and the ionising bar still require inspection and cleaning.
