Manager IQ Easy – central control and monitoring of the IQ Easy system

Manager IQ Easy from Simco-ION is the central control unit for the IQ Easy Platform. It combines the monitoring, operation and configuration of compatible ionizing bars, sensors and charging products on one 7-inch touchscreen.

The Manager displays the operating status, efficiency, warnings and alarms of the connected devices. The operator can therefore monitor the static control system without inspecting every individual device separately.

If an ionizing bar becomes contaminated, its efficiency may decrease. Manager IQ Easy makes this development visible and can warn the operator when the ionizing bar should be cleaned. This makes it possible to schedule maintenance before reduced performance affects production.

From six to 30 IQ devices

Up to six IQ devices can be connected directly to Manager IQ Easy. If more connections are required, the system can be expanded with Extension IQ Easy.

Each Extension module provides connections for six additional devices, and up to four modules can be connected. The complete Manager system can therefore include up to 30 IQ devices.

Closed Loop Feedback

Manager IQ Easy can be used for Closed Loop Feedback together with Sensor IQ Easy and compatible ionizing bars.

The sensor measures the residual static charge on the material and sends the measurement to the system. The Manager can then regulate the ionization according to the actual conditions in the process. This is particularly relevant when there are strict requirements for a low and stable residual charge.

Manager IQ Easy is recommended when the customer requires a separate screen for the static control system. If the functions are instead to be integrated into the machine’s existing HMI, PLC or network, Smart SLC IQ 4 will normally be the appropriate choice.
