Expand Manager IQ Easy with additional devices

Extension IQ Easy from Simco-ION is an expansion module for Manager IQ Easy. The module is used when more than the six IQ devices supported directly by Manager IQ Easy must be connected.

Each Extension IQ Easy module enables the connection of six additional IQ devices. Up to four Extension modules can be used with one Manager IQ Easy, allowing the complete system to include up to 30 devices.

Connected equipment may include ionizing bars, sensor bars and compatible charging products from the IQ Easy range.

When is an Extension module required?

Extension IQ Easy is recommended for larger machines and production lines where multiple static control points must be monitored through the same Manager IQ Easy.

This could be a machine with several Sensor IQ Easy units, ionizing bars positioned at different process stages or a combination of static measurement, neutralization and charging.

Extension IQ Easy is available in a version for 100–240 V AC and a version for an external 24 V DC power supply. The correct version depends on the machine’s existing power supply and the required installation. An LED indicator displays the module’s current operating status.

Extension IQ Easy is used with Manager IQ Easy. If the system is instead to be integrated into the machine’s existing HMI or PLC, Smart SLC IQ 4 and the associated SLC modules should be considered.
