Vortec Standard Cold Air Gun 630-BSP (Complete System)
Vortec 630-BSP is a complete compressed air-powered Cold Air Gun system designed for industrial spot cooling and dry machining. The model delivers a high volume of cold air and is particularly suitable for processes where high cooling capacity is more important than achieving the lowest possible outlet temperature.
This cold air gun consumes 991 SLPM at 6.9 bar and provides a cooling capacity of 2,500 BTU/hr, equivalent to 733 W. Under the specified operating conditions, the system can achieve a minimum temperature of approximately -1°C with inlet compressed air at 20°C.
The 630-BSP is supplied as a complete system with a Cold Air Gun, flexible cooling nozzle, magnetic mounting base and compressed air filter.
Application and function of Vortec 630-BSP
Filtered compressed air enters the Cold Air Gun, where Vortec’s vortex tube technology separates it into hot and cold air streams. The cold air passes through the flexible nozzle and can be directed precisely towards the tool, component or process area.
The temperature and airflow can be adjusted using the integrated control knob. The outlet airflow ranges from 510 to 991 SLPM, making the 630-BSP particularly suitable for applications involving a higher heat load.
The compressed air must be filtered to 5 microns or finer. When operating with outlet temperatures below 0°C, a compressed air dryer may be required to prevent internal ice formation.
The system requires no electricity or refrigerants at the cooling point and contains no moving parts. This provides immediate cooling and minimal maintenance requirements.
