Simco MinION 2 Ionizing Blower for electronics, workstations & automated processes
Static electricity can create significant challenges when handling sensitive components and small products. Dust attraction, electrostatic discharge (ESD), failures in electronic components and unstable assembly processes are just some of the issues caused by static charges.
The MinION 2 from Simco-ION is a compact ionizing blower designed for static elimination in smaller work areas. It is particularly well suited for electronics manufacturing, automated assembly processes, bowl feeders and manual workstations where fast and stable neutralization of static charges is essential.
Compact Ionizing Blower for targeted static control
While traditional ionizing blowers are often designed for larger production areas, MinION 2 is engineered for targeted ionization of smaller workspaces and workstations. Its compact design allows the blower to be installed close to the process where static charges occur.
At the same time, it delivers fast static neutralization and a highly stable ion balance of ±10V, making it ideal for handling sensitive electronic components. MinION 2 utilizes Simco-ION’s Steady-State DC technology and automatic ion balance to ensure reliable and consistent static control without ongoing adjustments.
Ideal for electronics and automation
MinION 2 is commonly used in:
- Electronics manufacturing
- PCB assembly
- Semiconductor and component production
- Automated assembly cells
- Bowl feeder systems
- Workstations and testing areas
- Medical device manufacturing
Its compact size makes it ideal for installations where space is limited but static control requirements are high.
Flexible installation and Daisy Chain capability
MinION 2 can be permanently mounted to a workstation, machine or wall and is also available with an adjustable arm for applications where airflow needs to be directed precisely at a specific area. A key advantage of MinION 2 is its Daisy Chain capability, allowing up to three ionizing blowers to be powered from a single power supply. This makes it easy to cover multiple workstations or process areas without requiring separate power supplies.
When should you choose MinION 2?
MinION 2 is often the best choice when:
- Static electricity needs to be eliminated in smaller work areas
- Products are handled manually at a workstation
- Electronic components require ESD protection
- Installation space is limited
- Multiple small work areas need coverage using Daisy Chain functionality
If longer range or coverage of larger production areas is required, XC2 Blower (range up to 1 meter) or Phoenix 2.0 (range up to 3 meters) may be more suitable alternatives.
