Cobra ionizing air gun for neutralization at longer distances

Cobra from Simco-ION is a heavy-duty handheld ionizing air gun for industrial cleaning tasks where static electricity and persistent dust or particles must be removed at the same time. Ionization combined with a powerful air stream provides a working distance of up to 600 mm.

When do we recommend Cobra?

We normally recommend Cobra for demanding repetitive cleaning, larger parts and workstations where the operator cannot get close to the surface. Its 6:1 air amplification helps deliver strong blow-off force without requiring the entire airflow to be supplied through the compressed-air hose.

The gun is supplied with a six-metre high-voltage cable as standard; a 12-metre version is optional. It weighs approximately 0.6 kg including the six-metre cable.

Correct A-Unit and compressed air

Cobra operates at 5.1 kV AC and must be connected to an A-Unit A2A5G. One A2A5G can supply up to two Cobra guns. The correct variant should be stated clearly when ordering so the gun is not paired with an incompatible power unit.

The compressed air must be clean, dry and free from oil and water. Maximum inlet pressure is 7 bar, and the air hose must have an internal diameter of at least 9 mm. At 2 bar, specified air consumption is approximately 200 l/min; the sound level is up to 95 dB(A) at 60 cm, so workplace noise and hearing protection must be assessed.

Cobra, Cleanflex Easy or Top Gun 3?

Choose Cobra when heavy-duty construction, long reach or an existing 5.1 kV AC system is decisive. For most new installations, we normally recommend Cleanflex Easy because its 24 V DC supply and integrated high-voltage generation simplify installation. Top Gun 3 suits lighter and more controlled workstation cleaning or applications that benefit from Sidekick.
