Equipment / Sensors for Polymer Applications / Melt Pressure Sensors
Monitor melt pressure in extrusion, compounding and plastics recycling with Gneuss MC sensors. Melt pressure sensors, also known as pressure transducers, supply measurements for process control and help detect pressure changes at filters, melt pumps and dies.
Northern Grafics is an official Gneuss MC distributor in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. We provide technical advice in cooperation with Gneuss MC’s specialists.
We help with standard and customised solutions, with a focus on short lead times. The specific lead time is confirmed once the design has been agreed.
Contact Northern Grafics with details of your material, operating temperature, pressure, connection and required signal. Together with Gneuss MC’s specialists, we help you select sensors and accessories for your application.

The series include mV/V sensors, transmitters with integrated amplifiers and designs with temperature measurement, heated tips, reinforced diaphragms, Ex protection or switching outputs. Selection depends on the polymer, pressure range, temperature and control-system connection.
Selected Gneuss MC variants offer IO-Link for digital communication with an IO-Link master. In addition to process values, the connection can provide identification and diagnostic data, depending on the sensor. Confirm the required data and compatibility with your control system when ordering.
We offer short lead times for Gneuss MC melt pressure sensors, normally within two weeks. Contact us to confirm the lead time for your chosen variant; customised designs are assessed individually.
Need a particular length, connection or design? We help you source customised solutions from Gneuss MC and confirm the lead time for your chosen solution.
They are used in polymer processing, including extrusion, compounding, recycling and selected injection moulding processes. The measurement position and process medium determine which sensor is suitable.
Yes. Gneuss MC offers NTX designs. Temperature, measuring range and fill medium must be matched; NTX is not a generic designation for every high-temperature variant.
When selecting a variant, we check the measuring range, fill medium, diaphragm material, thread, shaft length, any flexible capillary and electrical connection. Please include the model code of your existing sensor if available.
Approvals depend on the series and design. DAIX is designed for Ex applications, while DAIL and DTAIL provide pressure-monitoring functions with a switching output. Contact us for documentation for the specific variant and installation requirements.
Auto-zero is available on several series with integrated electronics, including DAI and DAIX. Operation and remote-zero options depend on the variant. Zero adjustment must follow the conditions specified in the manual.
