An ionizing nozzle combines active ionisation with compressed air. Positive and negative ions reduce the charge on the target while the airflow removes dust, fibres and loose particles. Once the surface is neutralised, particles are less likely to be attracted again immediately.
Typical applications include plastic parts, film, packaging and electronic components. The compact design is useful inside guarded machine sections, around robots and wherever a full-width ionizing bar cannot be installed.
Choose an ionizing gun for manual cleaning, an ionizing bar for a wide web and an ionizing air blower for larger or three-dimensional objects. The decisive factors are area size, distance, available space and whether the operation is manual or automatic.
Blowflex (IQ) Easy is normally our first choice for a new installation. It runs on 24 V DC, has integrated high voltage and supports several air outlets. The IQ version also adds status and control functions through Smart SLC.
HE is a compact 7 kV AC nozzle that requires an external A2A7S Power Unit. It is particularly useful when several nozzles are installed on one cable or air manifold.
Compressed air must be clean, dry and oil-free. Position the nozzle as close to the target as the process and product specification allow, because ionisation performance decreases with distance.
