Underwater Pelletizers
The BKG Type AH D pelletizers are designed for large throughput operations and deliver cutting-edge automation. These pelletizers offer precise and consistent blade pressure regulation, ensuring high-quality pellets even for complex and demanding materials.
Overview
The BKG Type AH D underwater-pelletizer is equipped with hydraulic blade pressure regulation and a hydraulic locking mechanism, making it our most advanced and automated model. It can handle high throughputs, complex materials, and challenging processes with ease.
A blade wear indicator and the ability to automatically re-sharpen blades during operation ensure optimal cutting performance while minimizing downtime and operator intervention.
One Concept – Different Processes
The BKG Type AH D underwater-pelletizer is compatible with a wide range of die plates and cutter hubs, allowing you to produce pellets that meet your exact requirements.

Benefitting Your Process
Increase Profitability
- Increase extruder uptime with maximum process continuity
- Save operating costs through a high level of automation
Increase Quality
- Produce precisely the pellet you want by combining it with a wide range of die plates and cutter hubs
- Achieve perfectly cut pellets even under changing process conditions with immediate and precise pressure adjustments
- Ensure consistent pellet quality regardless of operator experience through the easy-to-use control system
Increase Convenience
- Reduce wear with optimized and constant pressure settings
- Minimize downtime and operator intervention through automatic blade regrinding during operation
- Eliminate the need for disassembly and external refurbishment with in-line die plate grinding
- Start your line quickly and efficiently with an easy and fast startup process
Bypass
The BKG Bypass Piping system surrounds the cutting chamber, allowing precise timing of process water entry. This system includes:
- (2) 2/2-way valves
- (1) 3/2-way valve
- Related PLC programming for optimal control.
Benefits
- Prevents freeze-off (blocking) of the die plate holes caused by premature water entry into the cutting chamber
- Avoids pellet agglomeration caused by delayed water entry
- Reduces volumetric loss of process water during pelletizer stoppage or uncoupling
