CM5-30 charging generator with advanced current and voltage control

CM5-30 from Simco-ION is an industrial charging generator for processes requiring up to 30 kV DC and more advanced control than CM Lite. It is available with positive or negative polarity and has four high-voltage connections.

Stable charging and process control.

CM5-30 supports voltage and current control. Advanced Current Control monitors the current supplied to the electrode and reduces it when no material is present in the charging zone. This helps limit spark-over and emitter-pin wear. Advanced Output Control can adapt the charging level to an external signal such as machine speed.

Operation and integration.

The generator has a four-line LCD display, lockable keyboard, analogue remote control and optional serial-bus integration. It accepts 100–240 V AC and is backwards compatible with ECM30/60 and ECM DI30/60 through quick setup.

Select CM5-30 when 30 kV meets the process requirement. CM5-60 should only be selected when the application genuinely needs higher voltage. Base the choice on material, width, speed, distance, electrode and required holding force—not only maximum kV.
