Effective Electrostatic Neutralization: Long-Range Ionising Bar
ThunderION: This ion bar offers static elimination at long distances – up to a meter. The robust design of the reinforced profile allows the ionising bar to be used in industrial environments up to 5m long.
The T-back on the back of the ThunderION allows the user to place Simco-Ion’s universal mounting bracket as desired, providing optimal mounting flexibility.
The disc-shaped emitters differ from conventional emitters. They produce a high and balanced ion output. The emitters are shock-free when touched A flexible and replaceable structure prevents damage to the emitters when they are touched.
ThunderION features an integrated high-voltage power supply and requires only a low-voltage input of 24V DC. The new concept for long-distance static neutralization is achieved with a combination of pulsed DC and a low frequency. LEDs visualize whether the ionizing bar is “ON” (green) or if it is “ERROR” (red).
It is very easy to clean the ThunderION. End brackets, center support brackets, side plates, and emitters can easily be removed to access the entire surface for quicker and easier cleaning.
For certain production processes, it is necessary to neutralize static electricity at very long distances, for example, unwinding and rewinding of foils, where the diameter of the rewinding process changes continuously. ThunderION employs a new technique that enables long-distance neutralization – without the need for compressed air.
