Compact generator for controlled static charging

CM Tiny IQ from Simco-ION is a compact high-voltage generator for controlled static charging in machines with limited installation space.

The generator provides an adjustable negative DC voltage of up to 20 kV and is used with compatible charging electrodes. The output voltage is controlled using a 4–20 mA signal, allowing the charging level to be adapted to the machine’s process control.

CM Tiny IQ is not used to neutralize static electricity. Instead, the generator creates a controlled static charge that can be used to temporarily hold, position or bond materials during production.

This may be relevant when handling plastic film, paper, labels and other lightweight, non-conductive materials where two layers must be held together or retained during a specific stage of the production process.

When is CM Tiny IQ recommended?

CM Tiny IQ is particularly suitable for compact machinery, moving machine components and applications where a larger charging generator would take up unnecessary space.

The generator is powered by 24 V DC and is available with either one or four high-voltage connections. The correct version is selected according to the number of electrodes and the specific machine design.

CM Tiny IQ can be integrated with the IQ Easy Platform so that the generator status can be included in the centralized system overview. If the application requires additional functions or a more powerful charging solution, CMM (IQ) Easy or CM5-30/60 should be considered.
