Overview
The BKG NorCon K-SWE-4K is built on a robust double-piston design, featuring four screen cavities—two per piston. During screen changes, one piston is completely removed from the housing, while the other remains active, ensuring continuous melt filtration and stable operation.
For applications where extruder outlet pressure is initially low, and additional pressure loss during screen changes could cause disruptions, the K-SWE-4K-75 is the perfect solution. By keeping 75% of the filtration area available at all times, this melt filter minimizes differential pressure and ensures smooth operation.
Automated Venting
To enhance performance, the BKG NorCon K-SWE-4K can be equipped with an automated melt pressure-controlled venting start feature. This ensures continuous melt filtration, providing repeatable and reliable venting processes, independent of material type, throughput, temperature, system pressure, or viscosity, resulting in consistent, high-quality end products.
