HDC static charging bar for controlled electrostatic charging
The Simco-ION HDC works with a CM Lite or CM5 generator to apply controlled positive or negative static charge. Its active length is made to suit the application, and the bar can operate at up to 60 kV DC.
HDC is used for temporary adhesion, positioning and stabilisation of film, paper and plastic. It is normally our standard recommendation when the installation is visible, accessible and can be cleaned routinely.

Working distance and voltage
Below 30 kV, Simco-ION states a minimum distance of 20 mm. At 30-60 kV, the minimum is 75 mm. The final position must also account for material, grounded reference and sparkover risk.

Length, mounting and maintenance
Match the active length to the area to be charged. A rear mounting slot supports positioning, while straight and 90-degree cable exits suit different space conditions.

HDC or HDR?
Choose HDC for most conventional installations. Consider HDR for higher speed, difficult access or demanding uptime because HDR has a resistor at every emitter point.
