A static charging bar works with a charging generator to deliberately apply positive or negative static charge. The bar acts as the generator’s extended arm and distributes charge across a longer area.
Electrostatic attraction can hold, position or stabilise film, paper, plastic and other non-conductive materials. The charge can be neutralised later when adhesion is no longer required.

Choose a bar when a larger or elongated area must be charged evenly. A charging electrode is normally more precise for a small point or material edge.
HDC is normally the standard choice for conventional, accessible installations. HDR is the more robust option for higher web speeds, difficult access and demanding uptime requirements.
Match the active length to the part of the material that must be charged. Material, speed, required adhesion, working distance and a suitable grounded reference also affect the design.
Keep the emitter pins clean. Dust and deposits reduce performance and may cause sparkover or downtime. Plan safe access for inspection and cleaning from the start.
