Rotary Joint For Air – Modular in All Areas
The rotary unions joint for air from the DS series are suitable for high speeds with low torque, particularly ideal for non-driven rollers. They are available in sizes ranging from DN 10 (3/8″) to 80 (3 1/2″), in both mono- and duo-flow versions, and are designed for the passage of water, compressed air, heat transfer oil, and technical gases.
The DS series features a robust, self-supporting design with lifetime-lubricated ball bearings, ensuring long durability and stable operation. The primary seal is an axial mechanical seal, while secondary O-rings provide additional leakage protection. The unions can be used in vacuum applications and are prepared for the integration of intelligent sensors for monitoring wear and operating conditions.
The series is 1:1 interchangeable with previous DP and DX/DXS series, ensuring easy implementation and reduced inventory costs. As an option, a monitoring sensor system for wear parts and other process values can also be integrated. Christian Maier’s recipe for success with rotary unions is intensive development, combined with thorough testing in both laboratory and practical environments – ensuring high performance in machines and systems across various industries.
